Scrap Whispers Blog Hop

It's that time again! We will be featuring a "Guest Designer" each month from the Scrap Whispers participants. If you did not start from the Scrap Whispers blog, you will want to go back there to begin. This month we are featuring the work of "RedSquirrel". She has been participating in the team challenges as well as the weekly challenges for as long as I have been on the DT. Her work is always wonderful to see and so inspiring! I chose to use this layout she did for one of our weekly challenges.I really liked the black border and all the layering. Here is what I created:And here is a picture with the hidden journaling revealed:

Twisted Sketches GDT Appearance

I'm super excited to let you know that today's challenge on Twisted Sketches has my layout featured as the guest designer! Twisted Sketches is an awesome site that gives you weekly sketches for inspiration, but there's a "twist" to each. The twist is something to add to your layout and is different from week to week. This week the twist is to add something metal. Here is the layout that I did:
There is a metal charm hanging between the bottom two circles, staples on the ribbon, and also a black metal index tab on the right. I used October Afternoon's Road Map pattern papers and other embellishments that all came in the August My Scrapbook Nook kit. Thanks for Looking!

Dixie Pieces, Scrap Whispers and Some Good News

I'm still playing in the End of Summer contest over at Dixie Pieces. I'm nowhere near being one with the most points, but I'm having a great time and getting some layouts done in the process. Here are my last couple of layouts.

Challenge #3: Textures of SummerChallenge #4: Tastes of SummerWe just finished the latest round at Scrap Whispers! Our last weekly challenge was to do a layout inspired by the Karoke Finale of the movie Shrek. I used the colors of Shrek to inspire this layout.
The big reveal for the 8 week long "whisper" game was this past Sunday! Congrats to our team...we won! Here is the layout I did that I scraplifted from Georgina and then passed on to the next team member.
It's time to sign up to play with us for the next round! Head over to Scrap Whispers now to join us!

And last but certainly not least, I was asked to join the Design Team at Scrap-Friendzy! I found this forum back in June when they started the Scrap-Cation contest. I played along with that contest as well as their Survivor contest. I finished 2nd place in the Survivor contest and really had a great time. I'm looking forward to working with the rest of the DT as well as meet new people! They are currently holding a DT call for a few more girls, so if you are interested, please check that out!

What's Been Going On?!?

I've been pretty busy lately doing some projects for a couple different online sites. First of all, I've been playing along in the Scrap-Cation games on Scrap-Friendzy. These games started back in June and are wrapping up this weekend. There have been some really terrific challenges that have gotten me inspired. Here are some of my most recent layouts I've done for them:

Secondly, the Big Bummer End of Summer Sense-ational Contest at Dixie Pieces is going on now! It's all about the senses! Here are the layouts I've done for their challenges.

Challenge #1: The smells of the Summer

Challenge #2: The sights of the Summer

I accidentally forgot that there was a color scheme to follow so this first layout didn't count. I went back to do another one so I would get points.

Scrap Whispers Blog Hop Week #4

"Turn on the Spotlight....Dun Dun Dun" Yep, that's right, this week we have a new gal in the spotlight over on Scrap Whispers. If you did not start the blog hop there, you may want to jump back over so that you can start from the beginning (we'd hate for you to miss seeing one of the awesome DT's scraplifts!). This week we are featuring the work of one fun and fabulous (and I would know because she's on my Scrap Whispers Team!), Sarah Higgins! I love Sarah's layouts...you really need to go browse through her gallery because it will inspire you! Today, I chose this layout of Sarah's to lift:I love the simplicity and clean lines on her page. I also like that she was able to use multiple photos here. And so this is what I did:Thank you for stopping by! Head on over to Karry's blog to see more scraplifts of Sarah!!
